Today is November 16th. Just another beautiful fall day...except that it's the day my dad Carl A. Miller was born! I thought it was a good day to reflect on who he was and on the legacy he left behind.
Carl A. Miller was a devoted husband and a loving father of five and a grandfather (and now a great-grandpa). He was a patriot, and a career military man. There weren't many things that he could not master if he put his mind to it. (Ask Larry about the harmonica!) He was one of those people that everybody loved!
Although our dad left us too soon (he was just 58 years old), his love and legacy can be seen in the faces of so many of the people whose pictures are on this blog and many others whose pictures are not (check out some of the other links to see some of them). To dad, family was everything. We are grateful to him for passing that on to us. He loved the holidays and Thanksgivng was one of his favorites. He would have loved knowing that the tradition of the big family sit-down dinner still lives on!
Happy Birthday Dad! Thanks for...US!
