Bill update

Good morning everyone. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

As promised I have some news about Bill. He made it through Christmas but he is struggling mightily. He can no longer leave his bed. He dozes in and out, if he is awake at all, he has difficulty swallowing so he isn't getting much food or liquids. He has many friends who stopped in to see him. His mother Kathie is by his side along with Jami, Logan and his loving California family. We know he is being very well taken care of. Rob, his father-in-law and friend, built a privacy screen for him, so he can be bathed and dressed without feeling like his in a fish bowl. (It was probably the best Christmas present he got.)

Jami thought several times over the past couple of days that he might not make it through Christmas but the Hospice nurse said that he is not physically ready yet. His heart is still strong and his blood pressure is good. If other things about his condition were better this would be considered a good thing...as it is he has a body that is strong with a brain that has betrayed him.

For now we pray that our Heavenly Father is merciful and that those who are administering to him may be comforted as they try to tend to his needs.

We will get an update later today sometime and I will post again soon.

Love you all.
